Axalta Drivus Repair Planning for Seamless Production Flow

The Axalta Drivus team are running a one-day Repair Planning interactive training course in the coming months, led by Robin Taylor, Axalta Drivus Manager.

Axalta Drivus’ first course of 2026 – Repair Planning – focuses on the importance of thoroughly analysing vehicle damage and documenting all required parts and repair operations before the repair begins. By stripping and assessing the vehicle early in the process, bodyshops can identify hidden damage, determine the correct parts and repair methods, and ensure the job is accurately planned from the outset. This approach allows the vehicle to move smoothly through the production process without delays, reducing cycle time and helping improve profitability on each repair.

The course also explores the key steps required to create an effective repair plan, including understanding vehicle construction, identifying damage patterns and utilising OEM repair procedures. Participants will learn how to carry out a detailed damage assessment, justify repair and refinish operations, and ensure all necessary processes are identified before work begins.
